Brooklyn Deckers winning bikini body
Brooklyn Decker has beaten Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian to take out the top spot in the Women’s Health 2010 Best Summer Body list.
The former Swimsuit Illustrated model, who is married to tennis ace Andy Roddick, co-stars with Aniston in the upcoming big-screen comedy Just Go With It.
Also making the list of toned celebrities were Jessica Alba, Ashley Greene, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Biel, Katy Perry and Lauren Conrad.
'All of this year's finalists have a deep commitment to working out, staying fit and eating smart,' said Women's Health editorial director David Zinczenko. 'They have a variety of workout regimes from Pilates and yoga to boxing and weight training, kayaking and hiking to training for marathons. They've worked hard to achieve and maintain their amazing bodies.'
Matthew McConaughey, Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron and Mario Lopez made the Men’s Health list, but Twilight star Kellan Lutz was awarded the number one spot.
Courtney Love - Courtney Love Puts Sex Before Style
Courtney Love removed her hair extensions because she thought they were reducing her chances of having sex. Courtney Love claims her hair extensions stopped her having sex.
The Hole singer - who has a 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean with her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - admits she was advised to tone down her appearance for the sake of her love life and so deemed it necessary to remove her false locks.
She said: "Someone from the designer Karl Lagerfeld's camp told me that some of the front-row ladies wearing all the kooky stuff don't get laid. She said that if you want to get laid once in a while, then you better stop wearing the kook. I realised she was right.
"The whole time I had hair extensions, I was dry as a bone. Sex is like a good meal and fine wine. It has to be done."
The 46-year-old rocker - who has a history of drug addiction problems - also admitted she advises her friends on the best rehabilitation clinics to enter for treatment.
Speaking about an evening with the late designer Alexander McQueen, she told WWD: "We were at a dinner party, and it was a discussion at the table about the best rehabs in America. We talked about the Promises clinic.
"If you want to know which rehab to go to, ask me. I'm the Conde Nast Traveller guide to rehabs."
J-Woww Shares Her Fashion Tips For Men
Not that we like perpetuating the stereotype that, you know, fashion designers are superficial people who are only interested in looks or whatever, but we like to think that most designers really do care about clothes and they way they look when they appear in public.
But not Jenni Farley, better know as J-Woww from The Jersey Shore.
Farley, who appears in a bikini shoot in Maxim’s August issue, said she doesn’t spend all that much time getting herself together. Which really, really surprises us.
“I’m a tomboy. It takes me 20 minutes to get ready. I get ready faster than most of the boys on the show. Take pride in how you look, but never, ever take longer than me to get ready.”
Still, though, there have to be standards, and when it comes to men’s appearance, Farley has them.
On general presentation:
“Everything should be crisp, new, pressed, and not all wrinkled and worn.”
On your feet:
“Number one is socks and sandals. Seriously, guys, knock that shit off. Number two, if you wear flip-flops, I don’t need that weird yellow toe sticking out. I don’t mind a semi-metrosexual, especially when it comes to keeping your toes and nails clean and trimmed.”
On cologne:
One or two squirts at most. When you put on too much, women say, “What’s he covering up?” Also, guys should use lighter scents in summer, heavier in winter.
“Decent advice, but we’re gonna be honest here: The only guys who don’t know this stuff already are the ones with no home training. And we’re not going to date them, anyway, now are we?”

eBay launches a fashion-focused iPhone app
Online auction site eBay just can't stop releasing iPhone apps. Its latest is eBay Fashion, which focuses on new, designer, branded and vintage clothes and shoes available on the site.
It's a free app, and includes impressive search features to find items that have been listed on eBay, including the ability to then share them on Twitter, Facebook and email.
However, there are other features to let you dive deeper into what's available, including eBay's Fashion Vault which offers fixed-price clothing and offers on designer brands. There's also a Closet section (pictured) where you can mix and match items found on eBay into outfits.
This is all good, yet there's one problem for us Brits. eBay Fashion is available in the UK App Store, but right now only shows item prices in dollars - and indeed, appears to be focused on items located in the US. Once it's localised, it'll be much more useful on this side of the Atlantic.

Girls go gaga over big eyes, but the fashion lenses may not be safe
FROM foot binding to corsets and towering stiletto heels, women's pursuit of fashion has often involved an element of pain and risk. Now it is the eye's turn to be manipulated in the name of beauty.
Circle lenses are a new breed of cosmetic contact lenses which are bigger than the iris, giving the wearer a wide-eyed, doll-like look. Originating in South Korea, they are becoming popular among teenagers and women in their early 20s.
The lenses rocketed to fame when Lady Gaga wore them in her Bad Romance video clip. They are now sold on countless websites and an internet video explaining how to to re-create the Lady Gaga look has been watched nearly 10 million times.
Circle lenses also copy the doe-eyed look of some Asian cartoon characters and some have the logos of fashion brands printed on them.
Janice Wong, 22, is an economics student who also runs a fashion and beauty blog, chaigyaru.com.
She wears circle lenses because she admires Japanese and anime-inspired fashion and said many girls from Asian backgrounds want eyes that appear bigger and rounder. "The way they market the lenses is if you buy them you don't have to go through eye surgery to get big eyes," Ms Wong said.
"In Australia young girls are always looking at magazines … and most of the girls have big open eyes," she said. "You think, 'If I want to do that make-up I have to have eyes like that.' "
Joe Chakman, the Optometrists Association Australia's chief executive, said if contact lenses were not fitted to the eye properly they could cause infections.
Unlike normal contact lenses, which can only be supplied with a prescription, there are no restrictions on who can sell cosmetic lenses in NSW. "We have seen people who have had significant vision loss caused by infections from these contact lenses," Mr Chakman said.
Katy Perry Denies Miley Cyrus Diss, Carrie Underwood Wedding of Her Dream
Just four days after expressing her dismay with new-found fashion sense Miley Cyrus developed for her “Can’t Be Tamed” attitude, Katy Perry is holding her hands up and saying “uh-oh-oh-oh” – no, she did not diss her favorite “ho” Miley dearie.
You heard it right, peeps. The “California Gurls” singer Katy Perry denied the rumors that she “insulted” Miley by comparing her to Britney Spears and by calling her a trainwreck altogether. The face-off allegedly happened in the dressing room of the MuchMusic Awards night. Katy released her official statement via her Twitter site “Rumor control: I never said **** about my girl Miley. I love that ho. Mags should stop pitting girls against each other. We all can co-exist!” Can you really stay in the same dressing room for a night with Miley, Katy? Coz we doubt if you are really into feathers and leathers combo that Miley Cyrus is recently lugging about recently.
Singer Carrie Underwood is now a wife to hockey player Mike Fisher! The former American Idol winner beamed that it is her dream wedding come true in a bridal entourage set in an exclusive resort in Georgia
Rumors have swirled that her dream wedding costs $500,000. WOW! Why so expensive? Well, their ceremony will be held at the The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Georgia then they booked the entire hotel for the night, that’s worth $268,000!!! OMG! Her guests must be so happy that they were invited in this grand and important event in Carrie’s life. She even planned to have her guests pampered by paying the hotel bills for them. Ha!
The soon-to-be-couple spent their honeymoon in the Presidential Suite, again how much is that? $4,000… and it had a dining room and a living room which can accommodate 16 people. Why would they get a room that can sit 16 people? There’s only two of them, not unless they want to invite others to spend their first night as a couple with them… that would be too awkward. LOL!
Did Simon Cowell attend her wedding? We can’t wait for the wedding pictures!

‘Material Girl’ Releases Its First Teaser Promo Ad
Yesterday we got to see the first sketches from Madonna's upcoming juniors fashion line called Material Girl and today we get our first look at the first teaser promo ad released for the line. The ad campaign won't officially get underway until June 29 but this first tease might be a hint at what's to come:
I understand the Material Girl ad campaign will unfold all summer long, teasing a "celebrity muse" who will be revealed at the launch of the brand in August. As for the line itself, well, here are a few facts about what we can expect from the Material Girl line of clothing:
"Material Girl" is a newly created fast-fashion junior's collection that will launch exclusively in 200 Macy's stores and online at www.macys.com on August 3, 2010 for the back-to-school season.
"Material Girl" will be sold exclusively at Macy's.
The "Material Girl" collection was inspired and designed in collaboration with Madonna and her daughter Lola, along with Iconix Brand Group's in-house fashion department.
The "Material Girl" collection consists of the following categories: apparel, footwear, handbags and jewelry.
The collection will retail from $12.00 to $40.00.
The "Material Girl" is a spontaneous and fearless individual who invents her own fashion trends and is never afraid to make a bold, creative statement. She is influenced by her eclectic taste in music, dance and Hollywood.
This season, Fall 2010, the "Material Girl" is all about prints and embellishments in the newest silhouettes. She mixes hard and soft elements, like a tutu dress and studded combat boots, or an oversized boyfriend sweatshirt with a floral print mini skirt. It's all about self-expression and playing with layering.
"Material Girl" this fall is never about just one piece but how you wear it all together to make a unique outfit. Piling on the layers allows you to create to a look that is different from what anyone else would wear.
Now, earlier today we got our first look at Britney Spears's new clothing line Britney for Candie's: The Limited Edition Collection so it looks like she and Madonna's Material Girl line will be going head to head in the battle for YOUR money this Fall. We'll have to wait and see what the Material Girl clothes will look like but I'm certain Maddy is gonna bring it like she always does. Any early guesses which fashion line will come out on top?

Daughter Of Madonna, Launches Junior Fashion Line
Lola’s real name is Lourdes Leon and she is called Lola by her family. She recently blogged on the clothing line's website that the looks will be 80s-inspired and luckily “the 80's are another huge obsession of mine.” It is a coincidence that Lola’s mother had gained name and fame in the 80s.
Critics are saying that at 13, Lola can’t be a good designer but I refuse to buy this theory. Fashion blogger Tavi is only 13 and she is simply amazing! In Lola’s case on thing is certain that critics will treat her harshly because the little girl’s design talent is just riding on the coattails of her famous mother. Some critics are of the view that that the pop singer is using her daughter's youth to give credibility to her junior line.
So, wait till August 3 to judge yourself Lola’s design talent but it will not end here, you never know very soon we will see a handbag line by Suri Cruise, the daughter of Hollywood power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Price.
Britney Spears School Girls Fashion Line
Britney Spears School Girls Fashion Line – When you think of Britney Spears you probably don’t think of your typical school girl. Spears is just 28 years old but she’s already started her first collection of clothing. She’s working for the Iconix Brand Group Inc’s Candie’s brand. Britney has been one of the head figures for the brand throughout the last three seasons. Now Spears has started her own Juniors collection of clothing, appropriately labeling it “Britney for Candie’s.” The clothing line will only be sold at Kohl’s Department stores whom they have an exclusive contract with. You can expect to see Britney’s new clothing line in stores on July 1st which will aid the “back-to-school” buying session for next school year.
Britney released a statement about her new clothing saying “Designing was a really fun, new way for me to express my creativity and I really wanted to create something by me for my fans.”
Britney also said that the clothing collection was inspired by some of her favorite books, movies and music. She says the clothing implements a variety of day and evening looks for young children. Everything will be available from jeans to dresses.
Her tagline for the clothing is “Designed by me for you!” It’s expected that there will be some marketing done to promote her new appearance. Spears just finished up a world tour that she completed for her 2008 album “Circus.” Circus was reported as her comeback album from the trouble she’s faced in the music industry. Britney has undergone many public embarrassments like losing custody of her kids, entering rehab and shaving her head. Britney’s most promising career achievements were her teenage years when she was a pop superstar.
Crossbody bags give fashion, function and free hands
She’s clutching her toddler’s hand with phone pressed to her ear or finger-scrolling through e-mail while carrying too many packages. Now, she doesn’t have to worry about carrying her fab, fashionable handbag, too.
The crossbody bag, sporting a long strap and worn across the body, is suddenly everywhere. The bags are practical, stylish and, with offerings at every price from two digits to four, highly accessible.
“The business is definitely on fire right now,” says Brooke Scott, fashion director of handbags and accessories at Bloomingdale’s.
“Everybody needs to be hands-free,” she says. “We’re all girls on the go, trying to juggle a lot of different things. This allows you to be a little bit more liberated.”
The crossbody or messenger bag has come back into fashion in the past few years amid the growing popularity of the hard-to-put-down smartphone. The bags are popular, even outselling traditional handbags last year, according to market research firm the NPD Group.
“The idea of not having to carry an old-fashioned ladylike handbag in your hand by the handles is really appealing,” says Linda Wells, editor in chief of Allure. “People want more function in their fashion and not just frivolity. They want fashion to perform a basic service.”
The style is derived from the bags bike messengers wore and the utilitarian fashions of the late 1970s and early 1980s, explains Ellen Goldstein-Lynch, chairwoman of the accessories design department at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. They have popped up sporadically since then, made mostly by low- to moderate-level companies, she says.
Now, though, they are also offered by high-end designers like Ferragamo and Hermes. “It’s the first time it’s been brought back with a lot of style,” Goldstein-Lynch says.
A mention of the style may conjure images of the crossbody bags by LeSportsac, which introduced them in 1982 and still sells them today. Known for its lightweight nylon bags with whimsical prints, the company’s Kasey — a rectangular crossbody bag with the iconic three zippered pockets — is a top-seller worldwide, says D’Arcy Jensen, the company’s chief creative director.
While its north-south rectangular shape is popular among other designers and manufacturers, the crop of today’s crossbody bags has grown to include satchels, drawstring bags and hobos. They are sized from large down to mini and are crafted in soft, smooth leather along with metallic and patent leather. There’s also casual canvas.
Some are fashionably dressed up with studs and hardware, while others are simpler and refined, better able to withstand fads. Wells favors the structured, non-embellished versions in neutrals. “They have a very classic look to them because they’re so low key,” she says.
The bags can be worn several ways: Some can be carried by the handles or worn on the shoulder, others make the leap from day to evening, or with the strap detached, some can be used as an organizer for essentials to be dropped into a larger bag. They can also be worn hanging low from the shoulder.
“That’s the beauty of the crossbody strap. It gives the wearer a lot of options,” says Bloomingdale’s Scott. “There’s inherent value to buying a bag that takes you multiple places.”
Sales of crossbody bags rose an estimated 7 percent across the country for the year ending in February, while purchases of traditional handbags rose 1 percent, according to NPD.
Fashion watchers expect the style to have staying power.
“Without a doubt they are going to gain popularity,” Allure’s Wells says. “This is just the beginning of the trend.”

on industry leaders to launch fashion week
A contingent of creative-minded types thinks the Bayou City deserves — and needs - its own fashion week. So on the heels of September's big spring shows in New York, they're staging one.
Fashion Houston 2010 will be presented by Audi Oct. 11-15, with runway shows at the Wortham Theater Center Oct. 12-14 bookended by parties and other events.
Project Runway winner Chloe Dao, Cesar Galindo and David Peck (a talented designer who recently moved here from New York) are among the locally based A-listers who will show their spring collections.
Also committed to show, according to Fashion Houston president Jared Lang and organizer Neal Hamil, are Project Runway's Christian Siriano, red carpet favorite Marc Bouwer, the Milan-based luxury menswear label Kiton and Lauren Bush.
Hamil said more names will be added to the roster once they're confirmed. Page Parkes Models is lining up the bodies who will show off the fashions, including mature Texas supermodel Diane DeWitt, America's Top Model winner CariDee English and Models of the Runway's Kalyn Hemphill.
Lynn Wyatt - who looked chic at Wednesday's news conference in a slim gray Giorgio Armani pantsuit and a ruffled Chanel blouse with a Mariquita Masterson brooch as a bow tie - will open up her closet for a special exhibit featuring 12 pieces from her haute couture collection.
Another fashion icon, Eileen Ford, will visit to receive a lifetime achievement award.
Lang said three charities will benefit from some of the events: Houston Community College, Dress for Success and Legacy Community Services.
